How it started

As a new dog adopter to pandemic puppy Hazel, Michaela had a hard time finding dogs for Hazel to play with that were a good match for her boisterous play style.

And when Hazel finally made a new friend at the dog park, Michaela felt awkward asking the pup's dad to exchange contact details to set up future playdates.

Enter DogFrens: the all-in-one online community for dog parents. Our app will help dogs (and their humans) find new frens in their area that match their play styles, plan playdates with messaging and group chats, explore dog-friendly parks, scroll photos, videos, and other updates from their favorite friends, and much more.

Meet Hazel!

Hazel was one of the thousands of “pandemic puppies” adopted during Covid. She was born in rural Tennessee, rescued by Great Dog Rescue New England, and now lives with her people and cats in Rhode Island.

We’re building DogFrens to help her find her new best frens, while also building a place where we can document & share the entirety of her life in one place, and connect with dog lovers everywhere, all in one dog-frenly online community.
